These were the last pictures I took in the Appalachians. I was sick as a dog, and didn’t make too many stops. A few weekends back I cycled from Bangor to Holyhead. It wasn’t the best route I chose, and these photos didn’t all turn out so well, but it was a nice adventure.

Between finishing my master’s degree and starting my doctorate, I drove back to Spokane, from Georgia, via Michigan, taking me through Glacier National Park. Billions of pictures of Glacier must be taken each year, thousands for each car that crowds Going to the Sun Road. I camped in Many Glacier the night before and got up way before sunlight to get to Logan Pass at sunrise…

I spent the weekend at a bothy above Lake Bala in Wales. It was cold, but I had the wild Welsh sheep to keep me company.
